PokeHuman Stats

Occupation: Glass Blower (Mostly Custom Orders); Part-Time baker.
Town of Residence: Ambrette Town
Appearance:
Remy, for the most part, takes care of the way she looks. She's always more on the warm side, so her clothing has a tendency to be thin, breathable, while still being decent. There are certain habits from her old life that have stuck, such as her grooming. She makes sure she looks presentable when she's going out, and brushes her hair almost compulsively, it's the one part of her that she hates to see a mess. She keeps accessories to a minimum, finding that they get in her way more often than not.

She is a simple dresser, doesn't really like anything flashy or fancy on a day-to-day basis. However, should an event occur, she has absolutely no qualms about completely dolling herself up. She is always wearing some type of glove (for the most part, fingerless) due to the fact that her hands aren't in the best condition due to her occupation. They are rough and she hates drawing attention to them. She does not have a tail in her pokehuman form.

Personals

Personality:
✔ | Loyal  & Protective | True to her Growlithe blood-line, she is a fiercely loyal pokemon. Once you have earned her friendship and she considers you close, there is no length to her loyalty to you. She will do whatever is in her power to get or do something you have trusted her with and she absolutely loathes letting those she cares about down. Her loyalty doesn't just extend to things you need her to do, if there is something that she sees someone doing that could potentially blow up or have ugly consequences, she will go out of her way to stop you-- depending on what it is. While she is loyal and wants to protect, she understands that people need to make mistakes on their own so they can learn and grow. An important thing to keep in mind is that her loyalty can sometimes make her blind, and she will not realize that she is being taken advantage of until it's possibly too late.

       ● | Friendly & Kind | Though normally these are good traits, they have been known to get Remy into some sticky situations. She isn't really the best judge of character, and it has caused her to befriend some rather unsavory individuals in the past. That being said, she is a very kind person, wanting to undo the damage that she has done in the past. She is quick to greet people with a smile, and tries to always find the good in others--- even if it doesn't exist.

✖ | Timid & Stubborn | As with her good traits, her bad ones are easy to notice. She does a decent job of hiding her timidness around new people and tries to be outspoken when she meets then, but she is easily apprehensive, and that is something that she can't hide. Her stubborness isn't always a bad trait, but it has fallen into this category simply because of the effect that it has on her. Namely when it comes to people telling her what she can and can't do, as well as how easy it is for her to accept help from others even though she is always eager to be the one to help. She wants to be strong and independent and will adamantly refuse anyone telling her that she is anything but, the reason being that she wants to show Adolf that he did a good job of making her strong.

History:
Remy was born to a rather well-off family, and as a result experienced many of the finer things in life as she was growing up. Her mother belonged to wealthy man, who had her bred so his daughter would have a companion, a role that Remy was designed to fill. Teresa, her trainer, was the kindest 5 year old that could have ever lived. She would sneak her table scraps, let her sleep on her bed against her father's wishes, and always made sure she was well groomed. She was taken care of like she was some prize, and in turn, she cared for Teresa. Whenever they would go out to a park or on a play date, Remy would pretend to be a guard-dog. Always serious, always on point, though she lacked training and was known for getting distracted when Teresa threw a ball or offered treats. She was trained to be more of a house-pet than a battle partner, and as a result, she wasn't very efficient at controlling her fire moves. Remy's mother always stressed the importance of keeping it down, hiding the power that was within her so they could continue their way of life. Remy did a good job of doing so, for her mother's sake--- Until one day.

It had started out as an ordinary day. Teresa was now much older, on the verge of hitting her fourteenth birthday, and had a play date in the park with some of her friends. Remy, who was now much better at staying vigilant, stayed uphill, watching the girls as they played in the field. She, however, was not the only one watching. A group of three older boys had their sights set on the girls, nothing particularly honorable on their minds. As they approached, and started to cause trouble, Remy came to the rescue, getting a little carried away as her anger at the boys took over. Two of them had run off, while their leader sat under her, crying as her teeth and flames taught him to never try to mess with Teresa or her friends again. She didn' t hear Teresa screaming for her to stop, and when she came forward to try to pry her off of the pleading boy, the momentum that Remy had built up led her to believe she was one of the boy's friends, and she didn't hesitate in letting loose her flame and baring her teeth at Teresa.

She realized her mistake when she heard Teresa fall to the floor screaming in pain.

Teresa's friends ushered her home, and Remy solemly followed, keeping her distance. Teresa was rushed to the hospital. Remy's outburst had done more damage than she could have ever expected. While the young girl was being treated for third degree burns on her arms, Remy overheard the conversation between Teresa's mother and father. Her father was understanding, having heard the story from not only Teresa's friends, but also from others in the park who had seen what happened, and firmly believed that all Remy needed was more training so something like this never happened again. Her mother, however, did not care who, what, or why; all she saw was her child's wounds, and wanted the young Growlithe put down for hurting her daughter, going so far as to threatening her husband with divorce if her demands weren't met. Remy never gave them the chance to fulfill her mother's wishes.

Remy knew her mistake, she knew that there was no coming back from something like that, but she couldn't stop herself from feeling angry and betrayed-- even by her own mother, who would no longer give her the time of day. She ran away from her home that same night, leaving everything behind and never looking back. Due to what had happened, Remy no longer trusted herself, and avoided many people, afraid that she would hurt them as well. She was eventually found by an older Arcanine who had a pokehuman form. She was fascinated by the technology, eventually getting a dittech of her own, and he took her under his wing. He taught her how to better use and control her fire, and despite stressing the importance of diversity in her moves, could not convince Remy to compile a move-set that consisted of something other than fire-type attacks. She was determined to never let anything like Teresa ever happen again, and the only way to do that was to make sure she had full control of her element.

She is currently living with her adoptive father Adolf in Ambrette Town, where they both own a Glass-Blowing shop. She does most of the work now that he is older, and has an unbelievably strong love and loyalty to the Arcanine who loved and nurtured her when he didn't have to. She is able to control her flames with a lot more ease now, but struggles whenever she is under a significant amount of emtional stress.

Extras:
       - She can be very insecure, and always wants to prove herself, which is both a good and bad thing.
       - She never eats the sweets she bakes, only tastes them to make sure they're okay before selling.
       - She loves to dance, but will never admit it and will always politely decline an invitation to do so.
       - She claims that she never belonged to a trainer so she won't have to talk about her past.

Role-Play Example:
Cedric's eyes opened automatically at seven fifteen. The human part of him was groggy, requiring the ritualistic stretch and yawn the moment he sat up. His other half, however, the mechanical half, was alert and awake the second his eyea opened. Miraculously, though, his mechanical half slowed itself down, adjusting to his human wake up to spare him the morning headache. Day after day, the speedy adjustment continued to impress him. Of course, with such advanced technology there was little they couldn't do. They had even mastered the act of getting electromagnetic neurons to fire and recieve information in the exact same way natural ones did, and Cedric was proof of that. No matter how amazing or advanced the technology had gotten, many people were still put off by those who turned to android body modifications. Out of all of the possible mods there were, in the eyes of the public, the android line was the worst one. And why? Because it defied God. Because it allowed a human to live longer than he or she should.

Now, Cedric didn't particularly care what the rest of the world thought about him, though he would be lying if he said that the discrimination he faced on a daily basis didn't bother him. Hell, it hadn't even been his choice! He had been a fireman, the one most notoriously known for running into a fire to save a person who had all the odds stacked against them. He always made it out alive. Always. Well, except for the night of the terrible accident. It cost him over half of his body and about a year in and out of the hospital to get himself to this point. The decision to save him was made while he was unconscious. He figured that the rest of the city would have been relieved to have such a hero back from the clutches of death, but much to his surprise, they weren't. Even his own girlfriend -well.. ex-girlfriend now- abandoned him when he came out of the hospital with over half of his body reconstructed by mechanical means. Only his family and Taera stayed unconditional in their love for him. It was the only reason that Cedric was able to propose the idea that the two become roommates. He trusted her, with everything. She was his best friend, as he was hers.

It did, however, come as a surprise to him when saw her standing at the foot of his bed, looking nervous as ever. She was usually awake well before he was, thanks to the security night-shifts he'd taken, but he normally didn't see her until he was out of his room and in the kitchen. Concern would have filled him immediately if it weren't for the light pink that colored her cheeks. "Taera?"It was then that she seemed to snap out of her trance and remembered how to speak, but what she had to say certainly came as yet another surprise. It wasn't necessarily the content of the conversation, but the chosen audience. He wouldn't have really expected her to come to him over a matter that pertained to his brother.

The time it took her to voice her two statements was the exact same time it took him to disconnect the cables that protruded from the back of his neck, but Cedric couldn't really blame her. Whatever she had to talk him about must be nerve-wrecking. He remained quiet for a while, adjusting his shirt and jeans, slipping into the pair of shoes he would wear today. And right when it looked like he was about to provide her with an answer to her statement, all he said was, "Give me a moment." and then made his way into the restroom where he finished up the rest of his morning rituals which included brushing his teeth and hair (with two completely different brushes, of course!) and washing his face. By this point, Cedric already had an idea of what she was going to ask him, he was just making her suffer a little before he agreed to help her.
